We are a local chapter of an international organization devoted to Living Economy Principles. A Living Economy ensures that economic power resides locally, sustaining healthy community life and natural life as well as long-term economic viability.

BALLE supports locally owned businesses
Sonoma County Local Businesses now have a resource for education and events promoting green business practices. BALLE (pron. Bah-lee) is a national organization created to help cities and counties across the U.S. learn that supporting locally owned businesses is one of the most important steps to "going green!" Learn how doing business, advocating and investing in locally owned businesses infuse your local economy with precious dollars and resources that "multiply" as long as they circulate locally.
BALLE SoCo has Sonoma County membership benefits from exposure to experts in finance, operations, distribution, marketing strategies, and supports increasing local dollars, and gaining support in increasing local dollars and learning how to invest locally.

A local living economy provides secure and fulfilling livelihoods for all people, works in harmony with natural systems, supports biological and cultural diversity, and fosters a community life.
